A company with a far-reaching impact
As a large contributor to the economy, our 4,000+ employees actively contribute to the communities in which we operate.
We are committed to being a responsible business; one which delivers positive impacts for customers, colleagues, and communities. Our approach to responsible business is outlined in our ‘Shared Prosperity Plan’, which documents our progress in three key areas of financial wellbeing, inclusive growth and responsible investment.
Our own charity
As part of our commitment to being a responsible business, we have established our own charity, The Quilter Foundation.
The Foundation supports the many thousands of young people in our communities who face a multitude of challenges. Its mission is to help young people overcome barriers to prosperity. By providing funding and skills to charitable organisations, our aim is to empower young people to fulfil their potential, thrive and prosper.
A focus on young carers
A particular focus of the Quilter Foundation is supporting the thousands of young carers in our society. Today, there’s an estimated 700,000 young carers in the UK looking after loved ones with disabilities, long-term illnesses, mental health issues or addiction problems.
Caring for a loved one from a young age can have a serious impact on a young person’s future prospects, education outcomes and mental health. Through our fundraising, we want to help give these young people a chance of a brighter future.
Many of our employees organise their own activities from sponsored runs to cake sales to open-mike nights, so there are plenty of ways to support our fundraising.
