Core benefits

There are standard, core benefits that every company should offer, and we aim to make ours as competitive as possible.


You can enjoy 26 days holiday per year. But you can also buy or sell more days each year – you may need to cover school holidays, or you may just like travelling as much as you can!

Annual discretionary bonus scheme

Each year, colleagues have the opportunity to receive a one-off bonus payment. This is based on the company’s performance and your contribution to it.

Private healthcare*

You will have immediate access to medical care, if you ever need it. Swift treatment can mean less stress and a quicker recovery so you can get back to living your life as soon as possible. You can increase this benefit to cover your partner or family, including single-parent cover. Quilter will pay half of this cost.


As a leading UK wealth manager, it’s probably no surprise that we offer an attractive pension scheme into which we pay the equivalent of 10% of your salary. This is regardless of whether you contribute to it yourself, which of course you have the option to. You choose how much this amount is, and you can change it regularly to keep pace with your circumstances. 

Family friendly policies

To ensure our employees can spend quality time with their families, whilst also enjoying a rewarding career, we offer a range of family-friendly policies.

Income protection*

If you suffer a long-term sickness, we will pay you an income of 75% of your base salary (less any state benefits you may receive) if you have to be off work for longer than 26 weeks.

Life assurance*

We will provide a lump sum payment of four-times your salary to your chosen beneficiaries, in the event that you die whilst employed by us. You can choose to pay for a higher level of cover should you need it, or reduce cover down if you need a lower level.

Share save scheme

'Save As You Earn' is a fantastic opportunity to become a shareholder in Quilter and share our success. The scheme gives you the opportunity to buy shares in the future at a discounted option price.

Time for family occasions

All Quilter colleagues are entitled to paid time off to take your child to their first day of a new school or university. We also support colleagues where possible to work flexibly around attending school plays, parents evenings and sports days.

* Benefits available to permanent employees only. Fixed term employees receive a cash payment in lieu.

Flexible benefits

In addition to our core benefits, we offer a range of competitively priced benefits for UK employees at rates that are often significantly below those available when purchasing as an individual. You can choose benefits to suit your lifestyle, which are deducted straight from your pay, some with tax and or NI savings.

Benefits available include critical illness cover, dental insurance, partner life assurance, travel insurance, health screenings, healthcare cash plan, gym membership, cycle to work scheme, tech voucher scheme, car salary sacrifice scheme and more.

Additionally, discounted terms on Quilter products are available for you and your family.

Quilter’s approach to hybrid working

We recognise that some people prefer working at home, while others need the buzz of the office. To give the best of both worlds, we offer hybrid working for most roles– a combination of remote and office work, with a recommended 2-3 days in the office. This approach allows colleagues to maintain a good work/life balance, while still encouraging face-to-face collaboration and interaction.

Recognition is an important part of the Quilter culture. Each year, we run the Quilter Awards, which are a very popular way for colleagues to recognise one another.

Colleagues nominate those in the business for the contribution they make and the way in which they embody our values of ‘pioneering, dependable and stronger together’. There are 10 Quilter awards in total - three for each of our three values and one overall Spirit of Quilter award.

Anyone can nominate anyone for an award. They are a great opportunity to create a common and uniting thread of pride across the Quilter businesses, and the judging panel have a tough but enjoyable job selecting the winners.
