Meet Sharv

I moved to the UK about 4 years ago, with my wife, to join M&G Plc. I then joined Quilter’s Internal Audit team in 2022. I focus on Data Analytics and Information Technology audits.

Outside of work I am 100% committed to football and cricket, and play matches every week.

If ever you want to chat about football, I will buy drinks/coffee, even if you don’t support Manchester United.

It’s very hard to pick one because different people have had an influence on me at different stages of my life.

But the two constants would be my parents. I could go on talking about them but the one thing I’d say is that the sheer resilience with which they have sailed through the highs and lows of life and always with a smile is something I wish to imbibe in my life.

As Chris Martin once said, ‘If you never try you never know...’

So the first thing I’d say is be open to explore and be brave. Try whatever sparks your interest. The more things you try, the closer you are to finding what you want and most importantly, what you don’t want to do.

Secondly, people can make or break your experience so surround yourself with the best bunch you can find and you’ll see your growth moving at a much higher pace.

Last but not the least, no matter what, keep your integrity intact.

It eventually came down to the people. My priority was to work at a place with a good team, healthy work environment and strong leadership. And this is what I found when I was interviewed at Quilter. Additionally, everyone I spoke to while interviewing took a genuine interest in my ambitions and opinions which gave me further confidence in my decision. From then to now, I have to say I am very happy with my decision.
