Get the qualifications you need to succeed

The Quilter Academy will help you become a fully qualified financial adviser, giving you the foundation on which to build a sustainable business for yourself.

A comprehensive learning experience - from classroom to clients

We offer two core training programmes, a full-time and part-time programme.

Both programmes will take you through all the key stages of learning and development that you’ll need to gain a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning. We work with both the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF). We’ll teach you how to apply this knowledge as a specialist while supporting you to build your business.

You don’t need to have any experience in financial services or any specific qualifications to apply for either of these programmes. You just need to believe in yourself, have a desire to succeed, the determination and self-discipline to study hard, and have personal resilience.

Funding options available

We can also help you fund your training, offering a funding package that will last up to 18 months whilst you gain qualifications and start to build your business. If you want to know more about how this works, get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to let you know.

Find the right programme for you

Full-time programme

  • If you want to become a self-employed financial adviser and build your own business as part of Quilter Financial Advisers, our nationwide team.

As well as building your own client relationships, you will also benefit from our lead generation programme. Quilter currently has relationships with over 35 employee organisations and affinity groups who have millions of members needing financial advice. You’ll receive direct client enquiries from these partners, which will help to grow your business.

We can also provide you with an 18-month financial support package, along with paying exam fees for you.

Part-time programme

  • For individuals who are being sponsored by a financial adviser firm who is a member of the Quilter Financial Planning network.

You may already work within one of these businesses in a non-advising role.

If you are interested in the part-time programme, but you don’t have a sponsoring business, we may be able to help you find one. Places will be limited based on vacancies across various network financial adviser firms.

Level 4 qualified? Join our bridging programme

If you already have your Level 4 qualification, you have a head start. With our bridging programme, you can go straight to Stage 2 of the full-time programme (see below). From here, we will give you the support you need to help your new career flourish.

Internal assessment, training on systems and processes.

Mortgage and Protection programme

You may wish to focus on providing advice on mortgages only. If so, our Mortgage and Protection programme could be right for you. This programme lasts approximately 20 weeks.
