Programme overview

Location: Southampton

Start date: September 2026

Kick-start your technology career with Quilter! Our programme gives you hands-on experience across core technology teams, so you can see how tech powers a leading financial services business. You’ll rotate through different areas, work on meaningful projects, and develop technical skills alongside business knowledge. We’ll tailor your journey to your interests and strengths, helping you make the most of every opportunity.

During the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to study for a relevant industry-recognised qualification.

Where you’ll gain experience

  • Service Operations.
    Keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring clients enjoy seamless experiences and our systems stay efficient and compliant.
  • Information Security
    Learn how we protect client data and prevent cyber threats, working with experts to keep our systems safe and secure.
  • Software Engineering
    Get involved in building and improving software that supports financial operations and enhances customer experiences.
  • Data
    Discover how data drives decisions. You’ll help manage and analyse financial information, working on governance, engineering, and analytics projects.

You don’t need any specific qualifications to apply. What matters most to us is your passion for the industry and eagerness to learn.  All we ask is that you complete any studies before September 2026, when the programme starts.

What does the recruitment process involve?

For our one-year and two-year programmes, we’ve designed our recruitment process to help us get to know you and give you the chance to shine.

  1. Apply with your CV
    Show us your skills, experience, and what makes you unique. This is your first step towards an exciting future with Quilter.
  2. Motivation questionnaire
    Here’s your chance to tell us why you’re interested in the role and what inspires you. We want to understand what drives you and how you see your career developing.
  3. Live video Interview
    You’ll meet our friendly Talent Acquisition team for a virtual chat. You can share your story and learn more about us.
  4. Assessment centre
    Join us at our London or Southampton office for an interactive experience. You’ll take part in group exercises, presentations, and meet some of the people you could be working with.
  5. Final panel or in-person interview
    The last stage is a face-to-face conversation with our team in London or Southampton. It’s an opportunity to show your strengths and ask any questions you have about life at Quilter.

Interview Process

2 February – 6 February    

Email questionnaire will be issued.

23 February – 13 March 

Interviews will be held via Teams.

7 April – 13 April

Assessment centre (London or Southampton). 

20 April – 1 May  

Final in-person interview (London or Southampton).

 

4 May onwards

Final decision will be made.

Onboarding Process After Offer 

2 July  

Introduction to Early Careers Team (virtual call).

30 July 

‘Meet your Manager’ networking lunch (In-person).

2 September 

Pre-induction day call (virtual call).
